My Reason
I love Serena Williams and sympathize with her greatly. I feel like she is mistreated and hated for no real reason and I think people are just mad at her success. Serena is resilient and rose to be a star in her career. I identify with the chapter because I feel the same way about my success. People are mad when you’re in a position that they want to be in. Granted, she is not only being discriminated against due to her tennis skill, but also, because of her race. Wozniacki’s image is disgraceful. There is no place for behavior like that in such a graceful sport. It is also repugnant behavior towards Serena Williams. I think moving forward to stop people from reacting like this, we must respect our fellow citizens more. We have to treat people the way we want to be treated. Would you want someone posing like you in photos like that? I truly feel for Serena. She is a star that will shine regardless of animosity. That is what I currently do, and will continue to do in order to contribute, positively, to reducing discrimination.
